No team in the NBA is hotter than the , who have won seven games in a row. But only one of those seven came on the road, and that’s where Denver is tonight for a visit to Houston to start a three-game road trip.

And the Rockets are 1.5-point betting favorites on WagerWeb.com’s NBA odds.

Houston hasn’t lost to Denver at home since Jan. 20, 2007 – that’s four consecutive wins. Overall, Denver has lost 12 of its past 15 in Houston. And Denver is just 9-11 away from the Pepsi Center this season. In addition, the status of star Carmelo Anthony is up in the air after Melo sat out Monday’s win with a sprained left ankle. Anthony is second in the league at 29.7 points per game, but most reports are that he will return. Arron Afflalo, who matched a career high with 24 points in Monday’s win over the Bobcats, would assume a greater role if Anthony sits again although Joey Graham would probably start. Meanwhile, reserve center Chris Andersen is probable, after spraining his left ankle in Monday’s win against Charlotte.

The Rockets lost their only game against Denver this season, 111-101, on Dec. 16 at the Pepsi Center. Anthony had 38 against the Rockets in that one.

Houston enters on a two-game losing streak, falling to both Atlanta and Chicago by seven points at home. Against the Hawks Monday, the Rockets’ leading scorers, Aaron Brooks and Carl Landry combined to make 10 of 32 shots, with Landry’s 16 points the fewest to lead the Rockets in scoring this season.

Overall, Houston has lost seven of 11, including three of its past four home games. Houston has given up an average of 104.9 points on 47.9 percent shooting in the last nine games. Struggling Trevor Ariza has averaged 10.0 points on 35.6 percent shooting in the last four games. But the Rockets are 14-4 in games following a loss this season.
