The first big UFC event of 2008 is coming up this weekend, Live from England.  There are plenty of reasons to be excited.  Front and center is the World LightWeight Championship as “The Prodigy” B.J. Penn squares off against Joe “Daddy” Stevenson.  Penn and Stevenson should spend the majority of their time on the ground as they are both more comfortable looking for submissions, so don’t expect to see a lot of fists flying in a toe-to-toe brawl.  Before the championship fight, our “fight to watch” Saturday is Gabriel “Napo” Gonzaga vs. “Via Cavalo” Fabricio Werdum.  These are two big men who can’t wait to pound on each-other.  Gonzaga has a slight edge, but in this HeavyWeight clash anything is possible.  Rounding out the under-card on Saturday night we have Kendall “Da Spyder” Grove matched up against “El Conquistador” Jorge Rivera.  Grove is a 3 to 1 favorite in this match, but don’t sleep on Rivera, he’s a well-rounded fighter with a good reach and plenty of experience in the Octogon.  Sit back this weekend and enjoy some classic UFC match-ups!
